Rasa Music's Crystal Headphones
If your eyes are sensitive to light, you may want to pull on a pair of sunglasses before checking out Rasa Music's Swarovski-studded headphones. Designed by celebrity DJ Donna D'Cruz, the headphones come in a variety of colors so that you can coordinate with your outfit. They also have a pricetag that is impressive as their look: $2,500 per pair . Popular opinion seems to be that these will be fashion accessories for the likes of Paris Hilton and Tara Reid when they decide to take a turn at the DJ table for an hour at their current favorite nightclub.

Ok....maybe I'm on rocks...but it seems to me that those appear to be nothing more than a pair of Sony MDR-V700 headphones covered with a nauseating amount of diamonds. I have a pair of the stock ones, and think they look much better without the layer of ice. Also, as an industrial design student, it is especially upsetting to read the phrase "Designed by celebrity DJ Donna D'Cruz". Some slick DESIGN...."hey guys....I got an idea....its brilliant....let’s take these headphones....and cover them with diamonds! Nobody’s thought of that before!" that’s some seriously deep stuff Donna D'Cruz...you must have toiled for hours pumping out concept after concept before settling on this unique "design".
Stuff like this makes me sick :p (although I will admit, Id gladly take a pair of these off their hands....real cheap!)
